I have ubuntu server with wish to configure as samba server. Server resource will share to both linux and windows client.

There are several department like Finance,Sales. Each department has some users.

How should I configure department folder which only allow department user access?

And what I do with windows client??

I had try normal sharing (using desktop version sharing tools) which everyone can access and use the folder. Once I change permission example like Sales

drwxrwx--- root sales

then i got problem using the folder.

I try net use \\192.168.2.2\share\sales password\user:user1
in windows....

it doesn't seem to be working...

What should I do now? or what is the best way to doing it?
I need allow group access and also allow individual access permission assign....
