Sendmail delivering emails locally with delay of 3 minutes ?

    Hi Friends,

I am very much new to sendmail or any other mta. I just installed sendmail 8.14 on my rhel6 machine. I was trying to send email to local user but after entering the message when i press CTRL-D it simply hangs. I also tried sending email via mutt but again mutt also hangs. It sends the email but after taking a quite a long time like 2-3 minutes. I have not made any changes in my config file, the email are being sent and delivered but the delay is quite huge as much 3 minutes. So i am just wondering why so much delay. I did same configuration on my another machine with exactly each step same and there it is working perfectly fine with no delay.

Here are the logs confirming that delay

    Code:

So could any one suggest what could be the issue. IPTables is not running on the system.

    Thanks in advance

Is SELinux turned on? I don't know if it is an issue in this case, but it can get in the way of a bunch of stuff.
