    NFS Question

    Hi,

Having an issue on a nfs server where builds are being done.

The builds start to fail and come back with file not found.

    Server side -

    Server rpc stats:
    calls badcalls badclnt badauth xdrcall
    1970292209 1 1 0 0

    Server nfs v3:
null getattr setattr lookup access readlink
    308623 0% 3178402676 50% 45384345 0% 1153274192 18% 1668756137 26% 167895 0%
read write create mkdir symlink mknod
    61810518 0% 83360800 1% 15559145 0% 5716391 0% 1701344 0% 0 0%
remove rmdir rename link readdir readdirplus
    5501538 0% 832737 0% 221191 0% 5251 0% 167577 0% 5670396 0%
    fsstat fsinfo pathconf commit
    6038236 0% 529026 0% 27496 0% 13196279 0%

    /exports -

    /test *(rw,async)

    Any easy recommendations?

nfs v4.x? Are you trying to do simple serial builds, or parallel ones (make -j n)?
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

    NFS V3

There are a bunch of clients accessing the space at the same time via an autofs but for the most part are doing reads..
