Need help setting up server please.

I am a linux noob. I don't know much about it yet. Any help would be great, like what OS and I will surely have questions on setting it up.

Hi,
I would suggest CentOS (an RHEL clone) or Debian. They are very configurable and robust operating systems for use on servers and desktops. They are also well documented as there are lots of articles on the web about setting up different services on these distributions.

CentOS would also be my first choice. Security, stability and seamless management.
