Grub Error 25 on Server with Striped Volume
Afternoon everyone,
I have a server node that is down due to a GRUB error 25. The server is running SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 SP1 with a striped volume for the OS. What would be the best way to recover from this error? I'm not sure yet if one of the disks are dead, it could be related to that; but I would like to try to recover from it without re-imaging in case it isn't a bad disk. Would I be able to LiveCD in to the system to try to fsck the volume? I wasn't sure that I would be able to, due to the fact that it is striped. Is there anything else I should check?

It may be the disk or it could be something simpler, loose connection, etc. Take a look at the link below which gives several different suggestions on possible solutions. Read all the way through the post, several options further on.
