    Hi,

I want to setup ftp server on centos 6 using proftpd. I have directory call web_1. Under web_1, i have sub-dir call neptun, zuhal and uranus.

Folder neptun can be access by anonymous. Folder zuhal can upload a file but cannot browse it. Folder uranus can be access but authenticate using LDAP.

Is it possible to do it? For folder zuhal, i'm not sure can be done or not. Please give some advice.

    Thanks.

I've never heard of a directory being write-only.

Anyway, the other two things can be done. Authenticating with LDAP will require compiling from source:
    ProFTPD module mod_ldap

Normal setup usually in same server. But our client required different. They already have zimbra ldap server. So user from zimbra ldap server can login to ftp server using same id as email id. Here i attach my network diagram.
