    Problem with live mx on bind


    I have a problem with mx record for live.ac.me domain.

    My dns server is working fine with all zones, and is responing on all queries except for a3358d0dea703846969c621d5b362e.mail.outlook.com

    I spent a week trying to figure this out, but without any results. Does anyone have any idea, or met something similair.

    I must note that service worked untill end of february. Then without any changes on name server, the above resolving started.
    As for the domain, it is token.mail.outlook.com given for the purpose of live mails. The token was given from the microsoft.
    I suppose that problem is not withing name server, but must check.

    So from the looks of things there is an A record for this address but no MX record which I believe to be normal as this is only a token.

    OK, Thanks for help . I found what was the problem.
    My BIND was configured to use 53 port for in/out communication. Some of the providers block the two way 53 port communication. That was the source of the problem.
    I removed from the config line that states to bind to use 53 port for communication with other DNS server, and everything works now.
