I am trying to set up Word Press on my Laptop as a testing platform.
I'm running Arch Linux on it. I'm trying to create the database, but I can't seem to set up MySql.
when I run mysql -u root -p I get this error

ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)

I was using the root password for my Linux installation instead of the Database root password witch is blank as default.
