    MySQL Server

    Hello,

My mysql is giving me an error:

[FAIL] /etc/init.d/mysql: ERROR: The partition with /var/lib/mysql is too full! ... failed!

I think the problem is not enough space on the disk so how can I move all the mysql data from the / directories to new's directories in a drive with directory(/media/disk)?

Moving all your mysql files to 'media/disk' is going to create problems. mysql will expect all the files to be in that standard location and if you move them, you will need to modify any mysql config files. You should be able to create a separate /var partition and move the files there and put an entry in the /etc/fstab file for it so it is permanently mounted.
