FTP problem
I can't seem to connect to an FTP I've been going to for years.

Not on the web, just a regular ftp like, 15.22.456.78 say thats the ip for it. I connect to that.After that it should connect, name, password, thats it. I can't get in touch with my buddy cause hes in Florida for work. But his server is still running.Even when I switched to wireless it didnt affect anything (I was using my hubby's windows pc)
I went to configure computer and checked the firewall, made sure everything else was usual and no problems(that I know of)

Have you tried from the command line:
-lakerdonaldCode:ftp ftp>o 12.34.56.78

have you checked your ip tables?maybe some rules block port 21..(man iptables for more)
