How to test ftpquota (proftpd) command line?

    Hi, everyone

I want to implement ftpquota from proftpd.
I read the tutorial from proftpd documentation
I have client and server, in server side i'm using linux with proftpd installed, then in client side i'm using windows 7 with WinSCP installed as a ftpclient.

the command line for adding record to create rule written as below

    Code:
    ftpquota --add-record --type=limit --name=phann --quota-type=user --files-upload=2

after i restart the proftpd, I'm doing testing to upload files in ftp server.
But in practice I'm still able to upload more than 2 files. How does the ftpquota works?
Is my testing procedure incorrect? how to test the rule whether it works or doesn't?

    thx in advanced

    hello and welcome, mikrophun!

did the record already exist? i.e., do you need to add --update-record to your ftpquota command?
