    User mail

I need to copy emails from one user's mail box to another user. One user quit his job and there are business emails that cannot be deleted. They need to be read for reference by another user. I have tried the command below but it doesn't seem to work. (Names are not real)

    mv ~john/Maildir ~mercy/maildir

There are lots of emails that is why I need a command that can do the job.

Historically one could use ~/.forward file, why it is not working for you?

I do not know why it's not working. Its CentOS v5. Once the emails are moved to the new user (hopefully I find a solution to) I will migrate to a new Zimbra server that I have configured on CentOS7. I want to get rid of the v5 since there is no longer support for it.
