    LAMP serving index.php as plaintext

I installed a piece of software known as Fusion Invoice on an otherwise vanilla VPS running Ubuntu 16.04.

The documentation doesn't indicate any dependencies other than LAMP stack.

The server will serve the index.php file as text.

Just to see if I screwed something else up, I configured a Wordpress site on the same VPS, and the Wordpress site runs just fine.

Support (which I paid for, by the way) has not gotten back to me about what might be the issue.

Anybody have any ideas? Missing module I don't know about?

Well, PHP is just text - consider it C++ for web sites! You need to secure your site. FWIW, Wordpress is horrible and unsecure! Just my opinion... I have years of PHP coding experience, so it is just my opinion...
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
