Squid (about logging only) possible or not

Hi,
here is my question: Can i use squid to monitor the traffic on the network only. I do not want to use the cache right now(probably later). The only fonctionnality i want to use is the logging fonctionnality. If there is a way, please post to me the way to do it.

that seems like a good report generator for squid. I used that in my last job and it works nicely
