    ok well im having a problem ok im following the install from the above links. and i wget and download it then i unpackage it and then when i go to type make it dose not work say like bash command not found or something liek that? so whats the problem? if it b/c im on suse 9.1? or b/c i download it in the wroge folder or what ever.

    Oh, I'm sorry, did not read the complete thread carefully enough.
    But, I think that Suse 9.1 (is it personal ed you have) does not come with the developer tools that you need to install source tarballs.
    You should search for ready made RPM binarys, or download and install g++ and all necessary tools that you might need.

    OR should i just install Fedora Core 2 with like the FTP server config that you can check in the install for the type??? and will that work? and solve my command problem?

    Actually, you could upgrade your current SuSE 9.1 pers edt to SuSE 9.2 Prof, and there you will find all needed packets.
    Just do a download of the DVD iso (if you have a DVD burner) or the Suse 9.2 mini-installation, you can grab a copy of it from here
