    To be completely honest and as unbiased as I can be, I'd say they're both pretty much comparable, as a straight-up web server.

    I run both Linux and FreeBSD, and I can say that they are very stable, and very reliable.

    Both of them are good choices for server.

    But, a lot of it depends on your configuration of the OS, not just wich one you did choose.

    Whichever you have more knowledge of. A server is only as good as its admin.

    OpenBSD would probably be the most secure "out of the box" though.
    There are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and UNIX. We don't believe this to be a coincidence.
