Well, you could, but then noone would be able to send mail to you. SMTP requires that the receiving MTA listens on port 25.

just confirmed that my ISP has blocked port 25 for over 1 year now, anyway I can get round this???

Well, i cant to a telnet iphere 25 it would just time out

Exactly, that is most likely because they're blocking it.
