adding and changing user's ftp config

I have this problem:

I have a computor and a printer with same ip address on ftp server.
I can a change ip address on ftp server?
and do i know ip address is on ftp server?

On my network I have two computors (but one of the computor is a printer) with same ip address.
And now, I want to change the printer ip address but I dont know how?

It would probably be easier to just change the computer's IP address by doing:

Code:

ifconfig eth0 <address>

or by going into your router and having it assign a certain IP address to the MAC of your printer.
