RHEL Software RAiD 5
Hi all,
Is it possible for me to do a linux software raid 5 at disk level rather than partition level/slicing?
E.g. Given 3 disks: /dev/sda, /dev/sdb and /dev/sdc, I configure them under raid 5 with /dev/md0 during installation, will the OS recognize /dev/md0 as the virtual disk (after raid)? and will the kernel still boots up after installation?
Which is a better resolution? S/W RAID at partition or disk level?
Kindly advise.
Thanks,
