    password for sending mails

    Hi all.

    I have configured a sendmail mail server with squirrelmail on fedora core 3. All my users are on windows and use outlook. Now, the problem is that if i configure it with any valid username of my mail server without knowing that user password......i am able to send mail........but for receiving mails ...i have to enter pop3 password. I want that it should ask for password also while sending mails.....

    Search for SMTP AUTH or SMTP after POP. There's some SMTP auth howto on http://www.jonfullmer.com/smtpauth/
