hey, i dont know if this is still going on, but www.1and1.com used to give away thier hosting free for 2 yrs (thats a long time). you got mysql, ftp, ssh, and basicly everything youd need to host a good webby. check it out.

PHP Nuke is one of the popular choices.

Are you planning to host it on your own Apache/PHP server?

ya i could host it on my server. i dont think that i have php working with apache (unless it is automatically installed with the apache package in fedora core 3).

I just thought there may be sites that offered free hosting for forums.

if you know how to configure php with apache in fedora core 3 any help/links would be greatly appreciated!!

FreeBB Offers free forum hosting using PHPbb. I used it to test PHPbb before turning to a real Webhost.
