Problem with MYSQL
Hello. After I typed in mysql in the command prompt in Red Hat Linux, it gives me this message:
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)
If I type in /etc/init.d/mysql start, it tells me that:
Starting MySQL................................... [FAILED].

Check the logs (/var/log/messages and related files) for clues as for why MySQL refuses to start.
