Which server and how i install it ?

Hi All !
I m nwbie in this forum and hope u all will help me.

I need to install a server in a network where many users have their logins and save their files in their logins at the hard disk of the server. Except Server all workstations (nodes) have win2000 pro. The internet is also shared to all nodes via server.
Please Tell me which server is most suitable for this network and how it should be installed.
( This is a network in a computer school, where students have their logins and save their programms in the hard disk of server and also use internet.)

Are you looking for a distribution or a serving program?

Distro: It's up to you although I would recommend Suse because Yast will help you quite a bit.
Software: Apache
