Hi,
i was running sendmail 8.11 in my Linux server Red hat 9 .. suddenly it was crashed. when i reinstall sendmail unable to create fails in /etc/mail folder if i start sendmail service saying error as
Starting sendmail: 451 4.0.0 /etc/mail/sendmail.cf: line 107: fileclass: cannot open '/etc/mail/local-host-names': No such file or directory
[FAILED]
what might be the problem can you explain any one and tell me the solution.

Well, at a guess I'd say it cant find the file /etc/mail/local-host-names.
I suggest you create that file with your local host name(s) listed in it.Linux user #126863 - see http://linuxcounter.net/
