My Linux Redhat9 Based Server Keeps Dieing On Its Own.Help..

Hello guys i need urgent help regarding my dual xeon 1 gb ram based server with redhat 9 on it and 100mbit line (its dedicated server in short)

The problem is that all the sudden the server stops responding to pings , http ,ssh everything dies all the sudded. It happened on 28 oct and than after that it again happened today not once but 2 times one at night around 1 am and than in the evening at 5 pm . I dont know whats going on . I have installed APF firewall like 3 weeks ago , and since then it was running without any issue. Now i think this problem started occuring about 12 days back or so. Well here are some of the logs i got for todays disaster . both morning and evening logs listed just prior to crash the evening one shows a IO APIC error while system was hard booted. So please advise what is going on and what should i tell my DC to fix as i dont have fully managed server on me .
    logs are from /var/log/messages

Hmmm, last time my server started dying on me without any imput whatsoever, it turned out to be the power supply giving up. As they get older, they dont keep their voltage so accurately, and you find that from time to time there isn't quite enough power to keep all the peripherals going in the system, and random bits of kit inside the box just fail to work properly.

If I were you, I'd change my psu first - you can always get a really cheapo PSU and swap it first to see if the problem goes away, then get a top of the line one later if you desire.

i cannot do test trials as the server is in a DC not at my home . So u think psu is the problem and not the os or hdd failure?

The nature of the failure makes me suspicious of the power supply first. Do you have anyone local to the machine that can whip out th PSU and stick in a new one for you? They are easy to change, and you'll soon know if it was the PSU that was the problem.
