Outlook and Linux server
In our network we have on our workstations Microsoft Outlook, configured to receive/send mail through POP-3/SMTP to our Linux server (Gentoo). We also use IMAP.
The problem is that since two weeks ago, sending mail with Outlook began to take a lot of time. If we connect to the mail server with a browser, everything goes just fine. But if we use Outlookm it takes too much time to send an email.
Some people said that this is because we have too many files in our mail acounts, but I have cleared them and there is no difference... besides, there were times when we had even more files then now but it worked fine.
Does anyone have any ideea?
Thanks

What MTA are you using? What types of authentication and/or encryption are you using for SMTP? Have you tried another (better) client such as Mozilla Thunderbird?
