stop X at boot-up time
hello,
pls, how do I stop X (i mean the GUI) on Fedora Core 4 from booting up as a default whenever i boot up my FC4.
I would want to have the option of either starting X or logging in in the normal console window.....(like a dos screen)

Change your run level from level 5 to level 3 on startup.

Look at the file /etc/inittab
Look for the line that looks like this:Change that 5 to a 3Code:id:5:initdefault
