General Server Security
Haiii, Iam an complete beginner in linux administration, though i know a little of administration i am trying to improve it with my experience.
I want to know how to give security to our new apatche server which is having fedora core 2. I dont know much of NAT, firewall, etc..,,. so please help me how to give security to our server in detail. I think initially all the ports of the system will be open and should i close the ports if it should be then how and even please mention what are the ports that will be commonly used for web server, actually we will be hosting the web sites through that server and even i had configured the mail server. So that in future there will be no problem like not able to connect through some mozilla web browser like that.
I will be greatly thankful if u can help me.
