I am running ubuntu in one of my boxes and I would like to make a print server and/ or file server. How can I do this?

File sharing:
You essentially have 2 options here... Samba or NFS.
If the network will purely use linux machines, i would think NFS would be faster, but if there's the possibility/certainty of windows machines needing access to the shares, then Samba would probably be the only root (without installing services for unix on the windows machines.)
Print server:
This is probably easiest done through samba too. I have never done this myself, but i understand it to be relatively similar to printer sharing on windows in that u set the printer share up, then just connect to that. Google will have plenty of answers for samba printer sharing i would have thought"I am not an alcoholic, alcoholics go to meetings"
