remote access and file transfer....
One last question for now...
I would like to remotly access my server and be able to transfer files to it. I've tried VSFTP but i can't config it to upload to a specifc directory and plus seems confusing and hard. If you can direct me to a tutorial that works, or show me how. I would greatly appreciate it. Im running Astrumi for my server.

ssh and scp are your friends
http://www-it.desy.de/support/help/u.../sshhowto.html
http://www.siliconvalleyccie.com/lin...ssh-server.htm
http://www.cs.toronto.edu/support/remote_ssh.html
If you must work from a Windows machine you can install putty to use as a ssh client and scp client to connecto to your Linux machine..
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/
also winscp will give you a nice GUI scp interface on windows..
http://winscp.net/eng/index.php
So theres 3 how-to pages as well as some apps to get you by if you must work from Windows for some reason..
Thanks and come again !!
