I am looking for a recommendation for a distribution that will help me get a Samba server up and running with as little fuss as possible.
Thanks...

any distro should do just fine running samba...look for one with a good package management system that you are comfortable with. Debians apt works superb and will automatically add the service to a boot runlevel for you, plus since its binary based it is extremely fast and it will take care of all dependancies for you. Gentoo's is source based but works much the same way.
Operating System: GNU Emacs
