060615 10:43:42 [ERROR] Can't find messagefile '/usr/share/mysql/English/errmsg.sys'

although that file exists in location specified .

thsi error message is diplayed when i try to start the mysql deamon.

When i try running mysql
ie mysql - u user - p

it is unable to locate the socket file .which is missing ???

What shall i do ???

I tried but couldnt found any satisfactory solution , can anybdy help ???
