Ok. I'm using Debian Sarge and in the setup stage the hostname i gave was server1. I followed the howtoforge perfect setup debian sarge.

I made nameservers at godaddy. I gave another domain the nameservers. I'm using VHCS as the cpanel.

I get the following error

Gateway Timeout
The following error occurred:
[code=DNS_TIMEOUT] A DNS lookup error occurred because the request timed out during the lookup.

I'm guessing i need to add zones and aA records etc. Not sure how to do this.
VHCS created a .db file which looks like it contains A records etc.

Do i need to configure the nameservers on my linux machine in bind.

I really dont have no clue what to do. So if you can point me to any resources that a beginner can understand i'd be grateful.
