    apache question


    I run apache 1.3.33, on my linux box. Is my web server unsecure if i do not have a index.html file on it, and just use it for directory browsing. there are no folders that have sensative information in them. I also have "ServerSignature Off" and "ServerTokens Prod"

    Why not use vsftpd or other type of ftp server?

    I am not getting your question exactly. If you are seeking for Securing directory level access and apache then you have many choices from .htaccess to other apache options.
