Apache issues - www not working

I know this is definately an apache issue, not DNS.

I am trying to access my domain, lets say example.com

If I type in example.com it works .. if I put in www.example.com .. it doesn't.

What do you think the reason is for this?

That sounds like a resolution issue at first. However, if you can resolve both names to the correct addresses then it sounds like there is no website setup for that address.

What errors are you receiving?
What is in your apache logs?
What does your apache config look like?

sorry for the long delay. Was able to fix this due to the fact that the extra DNS entry for www had not resolved yet, so it was only serving deckerdserver.com and not www.deckerdserver.com
