Proftpd anonymous problems, odd!!
Hi everyone!
I used to have a fully functionnal ftp server on Proftpd 2 weeks ago, but I had to format and reinstall FC4 because of security issues (telnet) and I had to change the structure of the server to accept a second hard drive, whatever.... Now the server is up and running again, but it won't take anonymous logins! here is the log from FlashFXP:
I had a backup file of my config file and used it (with proper mods) to configure my new server, but it just won't work. Here is a copy of my proftpd config file:Code:[R] Connecting to ************.HomeLinux.com -> DNS=************.HomeLinux.com IP=**.***.***.** PORT=21 [R] Connected to ************.HomeLinux.com [R] 220 ProFTPD 1.3.0 Server (D.R.E.A.M. Server 2) [**.***.***.**] [R] USER anonymous [R] 331 Anonymous login ok, send your complete email address as your password. [R] PASS (hidden) [R] 530-Unable to set anonymous privileges. [R] 530 Login incorrect. [R] Connection failed
So there! if anyone has a hint, please let me know!Code:# This is a basic ProFTPD configuration file (rename it to # 'proftpd.conf' for actual use. It establishes a single server # and a single anonymous login. It assumes that you have a user/group # "nobody" and "ftp" for normal operation and anon. ServerName "D.R.E.A.M.
