    unable to connect with samba from window


    i all
    i configured samba as given below,the problem is when i try to connect through windows system from run as \\192.168.0.8 .it returns error that network not found , where as i can ping win to samba and samba to windows .
    i also configured smb.conf properly

    plz help me where i am wronge

    i have no filewall enabled

    i have window based network, haveing active directory on it.

    The only thing I see with your config file is that in the line "hosts allow = 192.168.0. 192.168.0. 127." You only need 192.168.0. once and how about you try changeing the netbios name to something that CAN'T exist on the internet, windows gets picky with this I have found.
    I don't think either of these would cause any problems, but it is where I would start.
