    Database connectivity

I'm new to linux and would appreciate some advice.

I want to get away from windows if I can but I need to develop a web database. I am familiar with and have made extensive use of ASP's although by no means an expert.

I would appreciate it if I could be pointed in the right direction for a linux alternative.

    Thanks

Is LAMP what you're looking for?

    Thanks Zelmo

I don't yet know what I want. I need to access and query data stored in a database, possibly OOo data, thru web pages in the same way that Active server pages could be used with an Access.mdb in a Microsoft environment. At your suggestion I will look at LAMP.

    Thanks for the help.
