Which to use..
Hi everyone, nice forum going on here, and I am in need of advice..
I have a server, which is currently running Windows XP, with VNC installed, with shared drives, just for file storage, but I would like to use a Linux server, but I dont know which to use.
I need one, that can share drives, AND, most importantly, be remote controlled, either by web browser, or by software, but, the other computers that will use it, and remote control it, will be windows based machines, so i dont know about that whole software thing...
please help!

Any and all should be able to do this. Personally I have Ubuntu 6.10 which I control remotely via VNC (RealVNC on XP or Krdc in SUSE) for a similar setup.

Most linux programs are not distro dependent. Check out the link in my signature for some ideas.
