I have installed Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 10

However I do not seem to have DNS Setup. When I try to run rndc start, i get connection failed; connection refused.

How do I imlement this? name.conf is not in the etc folder. Do I have to manually create it?

Are you sure you are using RHES 10 I know the latest is RHES 4. What gives.
Anyway if you are using RedHat you better use an rpm. if you are a newbie I wouldn't install bind from source unless you know what you are doing.
    So for help with rpm
