Hello,
I have installed Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 10
However I do not seem to have DNS Setup. When I try to run rndc start, i get connection failed; connection refused.
How do I imlement this? name.conf is not in the etc folder. Do I have to manually create it?

ok, looks like in have to install BIND
now the fun part, how to do that?
I am trying to not use GUI, command only. So they only way I can install is from source not RPM right?

ok, i copied the file to my home directory and uncompressed it. how do I build it?

Are you sure you are using RHES 10 I know the latest is RHES 4. What gives.
Anyway if you are using RedHat you better use an rpm. if you are a newbie I wouldn't install bind from source unless you know what you are doing.
