I have tried any thing
use in my proftpd.conf file the following rulez:
DisplayLogin /usr/local/ftp/msgs/welcome.msg
DisplayConnect /usr/local/ftp/msgs/welcome.msg
This file is there, but it's never used by proftpd.
I've used also ...

I have tried any thing

I've used also a couple of ftp clients, but no one showed a welcome.msg

What are the permissions of /usr/local/ftp/msgs/welcome.msg they should be 644.
