What samba version are u using?? And how does your network look like.

I use the latest snapshot (i supposed... 3.0.2 ??) and my network actually is in workgroup mode with ten desktop pc.

Do you have a sample of your conf. Because I can look what you need for these options you want.

With older versions of samba you had to hack the xp registry to turn off certified something or others. You don't need to go into the windows reg at all with newer versions of samba.

Recommended that you map the uids and guids properly. See the documentation - HTML version should be installed on your machine.
