MySQL 2002 Error
I know this topic has been posted before and I have read through the topics and have not found anything that has helped me yet, so I hope you all don't mind another thread on it! I am also new to Linux, so forgive my newness!
My server is telling me it cannot connect to server at 'localhost' and to check and see if the mysql.sock file exists, but I don't think it does... what should I do?
I ran a "whereis mysql.sock" and only received results for "mysql", does this mean the file does not exist?
Thanks for all your help.

I ran the command "rcmysql start" and that appears to have fixed my problem thus far.
I am trying to install PNphp. I already have PHP installed and working but I believe MySQL is not allowing me to because Strict Mode is on, how do I turn this off?
Thanks again,
Ryan
