I've installed pure-ftp and it appears to be working normally. I'm using virtual users.

Is there any way to have a common, read only home directory for all users; a read/write UPLOADS directory; and private folders that can only be accessed by the owner and not other FTP users.

I'd prefer not to have to create a Linux user for each ftp user.
