I've used apache before in the past under windows xp, but never linux. I'm using opensuse 10.2. I installed apache2 with YAST, and all dependencies. I allowed HTTP traffic through port 80 of my router AND suse firewall. I tried http://localhost/ but nothing ... and I tried reboot, and nothing ... what going on?

... i dont personally see how the ports on your router would affect attempting to access the site stored at http://localhost/
however, the most common issue here to my knowledge is the setup of the deny, allow section of the apache config file.. have a look over it, and if need be (for testing only) set it to allow from all and see if it works.
