Samba share
I am running RedHat Linux 9.0 machine in Windows NT domain. Samba share works fine and Windows users can use the shared folder.
I would like to make multiple shares each with its own access rights corresponding to user groups defined on NT Domain. Do I have to create new users and groups on Linux with exactly same names and users already existing on Windows NT domain?
Is it possible to use NT PDC or BDC server for authentication without having to create (on Linux SMB) users and groups that already exist on NT?
Thanks

yes you can.
you need to set password = server in the smb.conf.
then set a few other things.
go to http://www.samba.org
the online documentation covers this is great detail.
If you have any specific problems let me know.
cheers & good luck
