    Unhappy mysql installation..

    Hello guys,

    I'm really a newbie in slackware linux. Now using 10.0'
    I successfully installed apache2 and php4 but currently having problem installing mysql5.0.27. The gcc version on my slackware box is 3.3.4 can anyone shows me some guidance..

    And another one, how could i set the permission to access other folders/file in the htdocs?? I'm not testing as localhost but by end to end point, telnet a laptop to the slackware box.(the slackware box does not has startx, so its in CLI only)

    what (if any) errors are you getting installing mysql? What stage are you at installing that you get stuck
