ftp connection (with ssl) from browser?

howdy,

Can we initiate a ftp connection(to a vsftpd server) through the browser.(like ftp://localhost).I can do it with a ftp client but not with a browser.I have tried ftps://test@localhost which didn't work either.

The error I get:
530 non anonymous sessions must use encryption.

Is it possible at all?
please provide your views .

Hi,

use ipaddress it will show;
ftp://192.168.x.x
before this verify your ftp service is running...
