you can use any lightweight Linux Distro. debain with light DE like Fluxbox or FVWM.For ftp and http and mabey sql
Just really basic things for website.

Debian with any lightweight DE will work fine on those specs.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

No. you need only first CD. other CDs have tons of packages that you wont need. i suggest you to go for netinstall and pick packages that you need.
