hi i have a question, if i have 2 domains, www.samplesite1.com and www.samplesite2.com and 1 apache httpd server and that server has 2 websites how can i set it up ...

    2 domains, 2 websites, 1 webserver


    hi i have a question,

    if i have 2 domains,

    www.samplesite1.com and www.samplesite2.com

    and 1 apache httpd server

    and that server has 2 websites

    how can i set it up so each domain can point to a specific folder.

    you will want to look into virtual hosts for this. Check your distro's configuration manager, and it may have something in there about the virtual hosts.

    And don't forget to point the DNS record for each of those www sites at your static IP address.

    If your distro doesn't have docs providing info on virtual hosts, it's all available on the apache website.
